Donations & Transparency

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Trust is the foundation of this platform. Here is exactly how donations work.

We never handle your donation

Masjid to Masjid does not collect, hold, process, or take a share of any donation. We do not touch your money. Every “Donate” button and donation link sends you directlyto the masjid's own official, verified donation channel — its website, payment link, or bank details as provided by the masjid.

Our role

Our role is limited to:

  • Verifying the masjid and the donation information it provides;
  • Telling the masjid's story and showing its needs and projects transparently;
  • Directing supporters to the masjid's official channel.

What this means for you

  • Your payment is handled by the masjid or its payment provider, under their terms and privacy practices.
  • Refunds, receipts, and tax documentation are provided by the receiving masjid — not by Masjid to Masjid. Please contact the masjid directly for these.
  • We are not a party to your donation and are not responsible for the third-party channel's security or availability.

Fundraising & project claims

Masjids may list fundraising projects, a Needs Registry, and construction progress. We may request supporting documents before publishing financial appeals or donation links. Even so, supporters should use their own judgement and may contact the masjid to confirm details.

Giving with confidence

Before donating, we encourage you to confirm the masjid's official channel, keep your own receipt, and reach out to the masjid with any questions. If you believe donation information on our site is inaccurate, please report it to us and we will review it.

Membership fees

Any membership fees a masjid pays are for platform features and visibility only — they are entirely separate from donations, and no donation is ever used as a platform fee.
