Community Guidelines

Last updated: 3 August 2026

These guidelines protect the sanctity of the masjid, the privacy of worshippers, and the trust of the whole Ummah.

Respect the sanctity of the masjid

  • Never record worshippers during Salah without permission, and never disturb prayer, Jamaat, classes, or private gatherings.
  • Record before Jamaat begins, after Salah is completed, or from a respectful distance.
  • Do not show identifiable faces without permission, and do not record women's areas, children, or private spaces without proper consent.

Be accurate and honest

  • Only submit information you are authorised to provide, and keep it accurate and up to date.
  • Fundraising and construction claims must be truthful; we may request supporting documents.
  • Do not impersonate any masjid, office, scholar, or person.

Keep it respectful and neutral

  • No political campaigning, sectarian attacks, hate speech, or personal disputes.
  • Masjid to Masjid is neutral — communities represent themselves, and we do not rank or endorse any school of thought.

Who may submit

Masjid content should be submitted by an authorised representative (imam, committee member, administrator, or authorised media representative). Ordinary visitors may suggest content, but it will not appear until the masjid's authorised representative and our team approve it.

Moderation-first

Every masjid listing, video, fundraising appeal, and leadership profile is reviewed and approved by our Central Committee before publication. We may edit for clarity, decline, or remove content that breaks these guidelines.

Reporting

If you see content that breaks these guidelines or information that is incorrect, please let us know. Repeated or serious violations may result in removal of content or access.

Please note:These policies are provided as a general starting template for MasjidtoMasjid.org and are written in plain language for convenience. They are not legal advice. Before relying on them, please have them reviewed by a qualified attorney and update the operator's legal name, registered address, contact details, and governing-law jurisdiction to match your organisation.
