About the project
More than a channel β a home for every masjid
MASJID TO MASJID is a global directory and storytelling platform for masjids. Instead of being just another video channel, it helps Muslims find masjids anywhere in the world, learn about each community, discover ongoing projects, and support them directly.
How it works
Every masjid gets its own page with everything a visitor or traveler needs:
- π Address, Google Map, or latitude & longitude
- π History of the masjid
- π€ Imam and administration
- π Contact information
- π Prayer timings, Jumu'ah & Eid salah
- π Qur'an classes and madrasah
- π¨βπ©βπ§ Family programs and community info
- π€² Current fundraising projects & a Needs Registry
- π΅ Official, verified donation methods
- π· Photo gallery and π₯ video tour
- β Reviews, βΏ parking & accessibility, π website & social media
A worldwide masjid map
Open the website and see a world map. Click a city β Houston, Dallas, New York, London, Makkah, Madinah, Kuala Lumpur β and see every participating masjid. This alone is a useful resource for Muslim travelers.
Built on trust
Trust is the foundation of this project. Every masjid is verified, donation information is kept accurate, and every financial request is transparent. To maintain that trust, donations go directlyto each masjid's official donation page or verified payment method β never through this platform. Our role is to verify the masjid, tell its story, show its needs, and direct supporters to the official channel.
The Masjid Needs Registry
Instead of simply asking for donations, each masjid can list specific verified needs β 500 Qur'ans, new carpet, wheelchair access, a classroom renovation, a water well, solar panels β so supporters can see exactly what their contribution helps fund, with regular progress updates for transparency.
A neutral, inclusive platform
Masjid to Masjid does not promote one school of thought over another. It is a neutral global directory where every masjid accurately represents itself. When a masjid registers, its authorized representative may optionally declare its community β for example Sunni; Shia (Twelver / Ja'fari, Ismaili, or Zaydi); Ibadi; or another, with a description. The website simply displays the information provided by the masjid. It never decides or labels a masjid on its own.
Visitors can browse and filter by what masjids provide β community, madhhab, khutbah language, women's facilities, accessibility, and more β and calculate prayer times using their own preferred method, including Ja'fari (Shia) and the various Sunni methods, while always seeing each masjid's official published timetable.
Masjid to Masjid is a global directory and information platform. Information displayed is provided by each verified masjid or its authorized representative. The platform does not endorse, promote, or issue religious rulings regarding any school of thought or interpretation. Visitors are encouraged to consult their local scholars for religious guidance.
Future features
Over time the platform can grow to include Ramadan events, Eid prayer locations, Jumu'ah khutbah times, nearby halal restaurants and Islamic schools, funeral and nikah services, new-Muslim support, and volunteer opportunities.
A sustainable, ethical model
Basic listings are always free to encourage widespread participation. The platform can be sustained through optional featured listings, sponsorships from halal businesses, ethical advertising relevant to the community, and premium travel guides.
